So why did I mention Neuro-divergency… and in my portfolio, no less?!

Great Question!

And here is my equally great answer: I had a seizure during an interview. Yikes!

It was small but it made me lose my train of thought and stutter so intensely that I had to reveal to the interviewers what was happening. I felt embarrassed; exposed; fussed over even after I reassured them I was ok. This wasn’t something I was ready to reveal!

Going forward, I quickly realized I had to make a choice: continue to hide it as best I could, or be completely upfront about it.

And that’s how we got here.

At the heart of my life experience is diversity of thought, empathy, and awareness.

From these experiences I have been able to cultivate a deeper understanding and empathy for the world around me. Absorbing the lived experiences of others as I share my own with them.

Above all else, I live and breath inclusion. Simply because throughout much of my life I’ve not been afforded it myself.
